House rules

We find it important that your visit is as comfortable as possible. We also want to present and protect our artworks as best as possible and ensure the quality of each visit. Therefore, we kindly ask you to respect our house rules.

  1. Every museum visitor must have a valid entrance ticket.
  2. You can only pay by debit card at the Beelden aan Zee museum.
  3. Bags larger than A4 size (21 x 29 cm), backpacks, large bags, camera bags, and umbrellas are not allowed in the museum. Coats and small bags are allowed. You can use a free locker or leave your belongings in the unattended cloakroom. The management of Beelden aan Zee is not responsible for theft or loss of your belongings.
  4. Always follow the instructions of our staff.
  5. You are not allowed to touch the artworks in the Beelden aan Zee museum unless it is clearly indicated that you may.
  6. You may only take photos and videos without flash and without a tripod or selfie stick, and only for personal use. Please be considerate of other visitors. It is not allowed to photograph or film for promotional purposes without permission.
  7. You may write or draw in the museum rooms, but only with a pencil. It is not allowed to write on the wall.
  8. You are not allowed to consume food and drinks in the museum rooms of Beelden aan Zee. Self-brought food and drinks may not be consumed on the patios and terraces or in the café.
  9. Smoking is prohibited in and around Beelden aan Zee, including in the café. This also applies to e-cigarettes and vaping.
  10. Dogs and other pets are not allowed in the Beelden aan Zee museum, except for assistance dogs. Assistance dogs must be leashed. Do not leave dogs alone during a visit to the museum or restaurant.
  11. The Beelden aan Zee museum is easily accessible for people with disabilities. Aids such as wheelchairs and walkers are allowed.
  12. The Beelden aan Zee museum has a number of loan wheelchairs, which we are happy to offer. It is possible to reserve a loan wheelchair prior to your visit. You can send an email to info@beeldenaanzee.nl for this.
  13. Visitors who cannot move independently through the museum may bring one companion for free upon presentation of a valid OV-Begeleiderskaart or a statement signed by a general practitioner and/or treating physician.
  14. Strollers, wheelchairs, walkers, small mobility scooters, walking sticks, balance bikes, and buggies are allowed in the Beelden aan Zee museum; segways, skateboards, scooters, and roller skates are not.
  15. Do not let children run, play rough, or shout. Stay together as a family.
  16. The Beelden aan Zee museum invites visitors to engage in conversation about art. Be considerate of other visitors and limit loud or disruptive noises. Phone calls are allowed in the entrance area; they are prohibited in other areas of the museum building.
  17. For your own safety and that of the museum, we use video surveillance.
  18. The visitor is liable for any damage they cause to the artworks and the museum building.
  19. The Beelden aan Zee museum is entitled to deny access to the museum, café, shop, and terraces and patios to anyone who does not comply with the above rules.
