Meestervervalsers

In this museum lesson, students take on the role of master forgers. They will create an artwork that is as fake as possible. To do this, they first go on an exploration through the museum. With an assignment booklet, they investigate the different visual aspects. In a playful way, they learn to look at sculptures and apply art analysis concepts. Then they get to work in the Studio. In pairs, they sculpt a forgery: not a direct copy, but a sculpture in the style of a chosen artwork. Afterwards, they try to sell their sculpture to the museum educators. The created work can be taken back to school.

Students view the exhibition(s) with the help of an assignment booklet. The sculpting workshop takes place in the Studio.

Cost: €6.50 per student, excluding entrance fee of €5.00 per student. Supervisors free (maximum 1 supervisor per 10 students).

Note! In case of cancellation within one week before the visit, we are obliged to charge 50% of the costs. In case of cancellation within 24 hours before the visit, we are obliged to charge 100% of the costs.
